Florida Voter Registration Fact Sheet

Voter Registration Deadline:  The last day to register to vote is 29 days before an election.

Qualifications:  To register to vote in Florida, an individual must meet the following qualifications:

  • Be a U.S. citizen;
  • Be a Florida resident;
  • Be at least 18 years old;(you may pre-register to vote if you are 16 years old);
  • Have not been convicted of a felony (or have rights restored); and
  • Have not been legally declared mentally incapacitated with respect to voting in any state without having voting rights restored.
  • New applicants must have either a current and valid Florida driver's license number or a current and valid Florida ID card AND the last 4 numbers of your Social Security number.

How to Register:  Voter registration form can be accessed from https://registertovoteflorida.gov/en/Registration/Index

You may also obtain voter registration services at the following:

  • Supervisor of Elections office;
  • Any entity authorized by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission to issue permits for fishing, hunting or trapping;
  • Public library.
